Description : The combination of cycloheximide and chloramphenicol inhibits many pathogenic fungi. However, the mycelial phase of Histoplasma capsulatum, Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, Sporothrix schoenckii and Blastomyces dermatitidis is not inhibited by these antibiotics when incubated at 25-30oC.
